...You caught yourself daydreaming about becoming a professional makeup artist…?
And your subconscious poured all the impossibilities on to you about how it’s saturated & not many people end up becoming a good makeup artist…with a handsome income.
Run!
...Run away from that negative thought, because what I am about to share with you will change your mind about becoming a professional MUA.
Here’s the thing…
The makeup industry is saturated, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get into it.
If you are exceptional in your art, then there’s nothing that can stop you from living that life where you wake up every day to do your favourite thing.
But here’s the catch…
You can’t master this art completely by watching YouTube tutorials…whaaat?!
Yes, because they are usually doing a makeup tutorial on a face of a perfect model (who probably doesn't even need makeup to begin) right!!.
But what about the real world - People with hooded eyes, wrinkled skin, or light eyebrows etc etc.
As a makeup artist, you would be working with people of different skin types.
Not just that but learning from such videos is equal to “re-creating” a look…and as an aspiring makeup artist, you need to create something on your own.
And I get it…
You must have tried different makeup schools but most of them end up teaching you just basics (in some cases - just the 'look') & not the actual makeup skill & techniques.
Even after all this, you still get confused as to which lipstick you should apply, which foundation to use for specific skin types, how much foundation you should apply, and on on the list goes…
Struggle with applying the eyeliner perfectly even, in one go on both eyes.
Plus, let’s not get started with how you don’t get to learn the business side of the art let alone build a stunning portfolio of 50 plus looks.
No wonder so many NEW artists struggle to get clients or worst - NOT noticed by potential clients as their business strategies are not on point.
